Hybrid - This position offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office 3 days a week and an option to work from home two day out of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Job Summary
We are partnering with world class hospitals in the Boston area to turn cutting-edge medical research into usable, meaningful products. This position is a critical part of a medical device development team responsible for the design, implementation and verification of an innovative medical imaging device.
Key Responsibilities (“Do”)
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality team to capture design outputs for a novel medical device
• Develop and manage documentation including CAD models, fabrication drawing, procedures, BOMs, and specifications
Results Expected (“Deliver”)
• Build and manage an accurate 3D CAD model of a novel and complex medical device.
• Generate and manage fabrication drawings for all elements of the medical device.
• Generate and manage specification documents.
• Generate and manage BOMs
• Manage all documents accurately in a QMS
Qualifications
• 5 years or greater experience drafting machined, casted, sheet metal, and/or plastic molded components.
• Expertise in utilizing SolidWorks for modeling complex 3D systems and drafting components.
• Strong understanding of GD&T as per ASME Y14.5
• Experience in generating and managing BOM structures, ECRs and documentation through a QMS

• Experience with mechanical design for medical devices
• Experience with cable drawings
