As a key member of the engineering team, you'll combine technical expertise, leadership, and business development to help drive the continued success of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspections services.Serve as a Technical Leader- Provide engineering oversight and quality assurance for Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection services.
- Review reports, specifications, and testing data to ensure compliance with project requirements and local jurisdictional standards.
- Serve as a technical resource for clients, project teams, and field personnel.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Build and Strengthen Client Relationships- Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, healthcare systems, educational institutions, and municipal agencies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and professional organizations to expand market presence.
- Identify opportunities for new business and contribute to continued growth.
Influence Operations & Team Success- Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, technicians, laboratory personnel, and leadership to ensure successful project execution.
- Support scheduling, resource planning, and project delivery efforts.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering and inspection staff.
- Help maintain a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and client service.
Qualifications- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia (or ability to obtain through reciprocity).
- 3+ years of experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT), Special Inspections, Quality Control, or related engineering disciplines.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, inspection requirements, specifications, and reporting standards.
- Hands-on field experience with construction projects and inspection activities.
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients, project teams, and local jurisdictions.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
