As a key member of the engineering team, you'll combine technical expertise, leadership, and business development to help drive the continued success of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspections services. Serve as a Technical Leader
Provide engineering oversight and quality assurance for Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection services.
Review reports, specifications, and testing data to ensure compliance with project requirements and local jurisdictional standards.
Serve as a technical resource for clients, project teams, and field personnel.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Build and Strengthen Client Relationships
Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, healthcare systems, educational institutions, and municipal agencies.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and professional organizations to expand market presence.
Identify opportunities for new business and contribute to continued growth.
Influence Operations & Team Success
Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, technicians, laboratory personnel, and leadership to ensure successful project execution.
Support scheduling, resource planning, and project delivery efforts.
Mentor and develop junior engineering and inspection staff.
Help maintain a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and client service.
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia (or ability to obtain through reciprocity).
3+ years of experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT), Special Inspections, Quality Control, or related engineering disciplines.
Strong understanding of local building codes, inspection requirements, specifications, and reporting standards.
Hands-on field experience with construction projects and inspection activities.
Proven ability to build relationships with clients, project teams, and local jurisdictions.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help grow a business and expand client relationships.
