Job Description :

Our client, a reputable, established company is looking for a Network Operations Analyst to join their team in Brookfield, WI as a full-time employee. As a Network Operations Analyst, you will be handling the infrastructure of IT as a whole behind the scenes. You will make sure that if something is wrong, it will be fixed and very few people will even know there was an issue. This role is a vital part of the organization and IT department. Responsibilities:

* Monitor all systems ( IBM, iSeries and Microsoft Servers ) using message management software. Configure new rules and adjust existing rules as required. Resolve issues, contacting appropriate outside support. Update daily message management log to adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

 

* Prepare media for backup of servers ( IBM iSeries servers and Windows servers ). Review daily backup logs, resolve issues and restore data as required. Document policies and procedures for backup applications ( Backup software applications are BRMS, Symantec, and VRanger ).

 

* Manage the company's replication application ( Rocket icluster ). Confirm replication is enabled and active for selected data elements. Apply software updates and resolve any issues. Execute annual replication fail over test. Document policies and procedures. Perform annual review.

 

* Provide new user system training on items including passwords, notes email, ( RFI ) applications, and telephone usage. Answer calls for needed support. Make user access changes.

 

* Administer the company's Spam Filter ( Mimecast ) and protection application ( Targeted Treat Protection Application ). Setup users, provide support, manage whitelist, and create governing rules for threat protection.

 

* Install and configure email applications. Activate cell phones and provide user support. Contact cell phone vendor for individual cell phone plan changes.

 

* Update the iSeries job scheduler. Perform monthly job schedule review as part of Sarbanes-Oxley controls. Monitor disk space on all servers. Manage iSeries journal files for backup and recovery.

 

* Administer Salesforce CRM application. Create profiles, manage licenses, and contact support.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field with 4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (candidates with an Associate's Degree will be considered).

* Experience with Microsoft Servers.

* Networking and Windows VMware / Citrix (an understanding of the Citrix environment).

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Preferred experience in as many of the following: IBM / iSeries / AS400; Halcyon Message Management Software; BRMS, Symantec, VRanger ( software backup apps ); Rocket icluster replication; RFI Application; Administering Mimecast Spam Filter application; Administering Targeted Threat Protection application.
